My Rotary Friends
The Yayasan has come a long way since its inception. My role as Chairman is to ensure that Rotary Clubs in Malaysia are adequately financed to carry out their duties to provide yeoman service to their communities in general and to the needy in particular. The Trustees are committed to carry out their duties. We have appointed 19 co- ordinators to assist in the various portfolios assigned to the Trustees. Every year we embark on fund raising. Fortunately there are many generous Rotarians who support us regularly, some of them even on an annual basis.
In this financial year we made a small surplus. We plan to make this surplus available for Projects Grants in the coming year. I am also happy to report that I was invited to speak at The D3300 District Assembly at Everly Hotel, Putra Jaya and at the D3310 President Elect Training Seminar in Johor Baru. I was also invited to speak at the D3310 Conference in Kuching and at The Pan Borneo Meet in Labuan. I have also spoken about the activities of The Yayasan at Clubs namely Bukit Kiara Sunrise, Tropicana Damansara, Pudu and Sri Petaling. The Clubs have been very supportive. The Co-ordinators and Trustees have been very proactive and have assisted in identifying generous donors to the Yayasan.
